“I have had the pleasure to have visited the parish on many occasions over the past months. Sunday liturgy was delightful although the majority of the parishioners are a bit elder than in most places I have been. After the Sunday Divine Liturgy, I found it a bit awkward and not able to really fit in immediately. A young fellow came to welcome me and sat down to coffee and cake with me. The new parish priest has received me for confession and listened to me attentively on many occasions when I have visited during the weekdays. He is very accesible for the sacrament of healing and took time to give me a tour of the parish. I hope that many people can discover this parish and perhaps become a part of it. ”

“I'm the youngest daughter of the founding pastors of this building. It was originally named The House Of Refuge COGIC under the leadership of Elder W.H. McIntosh, Sr.(1960-1965). A few years later, my mother, Elder Mildred E. McIntosh took the mantle and carried this ministry on until her home-going in July 1991. We experienced a fire in 1981 that caused a challenging assignment to her. God told her to rebuild his church from the ground and restore to him a place of worship for his people. I'm glad she obeyed because these people who have the edifice now would not be able to worship there now. So, "Second Fontana Church" I hope you're enjoying the fruit of my mother and father's labor. It is because of them that is the reason you're there.”
