Ontario Carls Jr

Overall I had an easy first experience taking the Bolt Bus from Ontario to Las Vegas. As a frequent traveler looking to save money where possible, I had no issue taking a public bus like this, especially to Las Vegas during the weekday at 10:30 a.m. - less demand and traffic! I am in my mid- twenties and am an easy going traveler. I would not recommend this service if I was bringing my family and would choose a different option such as flying or driving. I only used this only for one way travel and took a plane back to Ontario airport since I wanted to maximize my time in Las Vegas. There are only two departure times per day with Bolt Bus.

The pick up location was at a Carls Jr. which was easy to find, although there was only a small sign that said Bolt Bus which I did not notice at all when I arrived. The only way I knew I was in the correct spot was because I asked the workers inside of Carls Jr who were helpful and assured me I was in the correct spot.

Upon making a reservation, you are given a reservation letter and number that corresponds to the order you board the bus. I purchased my ticket two weeks before traveling and was the first to board at the stop. They allow you to store your bags under the bus which was a bit disorganized since everyone was trying to rush in and put their bags in at the same time. There were people of all ages and backgrounds on the bus, but I had a pleasant experience and didn't see any sketchy people like I've seen on the Greyhound before.

The outlets did not work and neither did the wifi which was unfortunate. This was a bit of false advertisement, although this did not make the experience awful. I did not use the restrooms, so I cannot comment on the facilities.

I took a weekday bus in the morning, so this may be different than an experience leaving on a weekend. It took a little under four hours from Ontario to Las Vegas. I got off at the first stop, the south bus terminal and you can request an uber from there or take a city bus to the strip, just ask any of the bus drivers and they can give you additional information.

I would use this service again and have recommended it to some of my friends already!
