This is the place for fresh squeezed orange juice. We got apple and orange juice last week The apple tasted like red delicious which are not my favorite because there is a slight bitter tone at the end but still good. The oj, oh so tasty. Got another quart today it's so good. They also have beautiful strawberries and the best baked goods. We were eating strawberries on the way home because we couldn't wait. Recommend. Also when I need a specialty item like fresh halibut, this is the place to come. They do such a great job of providing high end products.
I always have a great experience when I go to Gerrard's Market. Got some beautiful organic whole chickens - (BOGO!), some good wine and of course, a quick trip to the Beer Cave is always perfect for the weekend. I love Gerrard's!
The prices are high but for a grocery store tucked away like a secret like Gerrard's is, you can understand why.
The alcohol fridges are a delight. The bakery and in-store prepared foods are delicious. I couldn't talk about this place enough!
But if you're like me and can only splurge so much on fancy food, this isn't your weekly grocery store place! Come to make your parties and picnics pop.
The reason for this 5-star review of Gerrard's is because of Tom (owner/manager). I hadn't known Tom prior to this experience, but he really did something special for me:
On Christmas Eve, I was running around town and had managed to get the gifts that I had planned for everyone in my family, except the See's chocolates for my grandfather. See's was closed, and I went by Gerrard's as a last ditch effort, but assumed they did not sell See's. Tom was there when I walked in, so I asked him if they sell See's, and he confirmed they didn't. However, after showing me the different chocolate options they had, he left and then came back a few minutes later with his own PERSONAL box of See's candy, and offered it to me to give to my grandpa for Christmas. I accepted, and Tom basically saved Christmas. Go Gerrard's!! Thank you so much Tom.
Love that store. And they carry my favorite BBQ sauce Simmie J's.
