Baldy View Dog Park

My dogs love it! Very nice people around. Large enough to play with my Belgian Malinois!

May 17th, and we are here again. This time it appears that the green trees and the bushes all growing in hide a lot of the disrepair. But it doesn't stop animal ignorant people from showing up. I don't know if it's my luck or what, but again today at this dog bark a lady showed up and decided that the dog park was the best place in the world to treat train her dog? And of course when young lady smelled the treats she ran over there before I had time to tell her no. And the ladies dog did not like the fact that young lady came over there so she nip temperature, bad mistake!! Young lady didn't proceeded to explain to the dog why that wasn't a good idea, and then I had to explain to the owner why treat training caused the whole ordeal. She didn't understand why everybody couldn't just tell their dogs to leave the treats alone? I guess her intelligence has no limit. Now my original review which is still pretty accurate!

This is obviously an old park that is in need of a few repairs. But it has grass for the dogs to roll and rub on, it has dirt and sand for them to sniff around and dig in, it has big mature shade trees that I'm sure a squirrel or two lives in, it has plenty of benches and sitting in the shade, it has doggy bag stations set out all around the park, it also has if you choose to use it, the scoop and paddle on a pole, it has water buckets in every corner of the park, and if all of that isn't enough? It actually has a brick-and-mortar bathroom right in front of the park. The only negatives are the fence is only about three foot the four foot high so if your dog likes to jump and run it could be a problem. Also the fence between the little dog park and the big dog park is only about 3 ft tall so if you have a little dog that likes to annoy the big dogs? Well? You might want to have a talk with them before you cut them loose hahaha but overall this is a great place to bring your dog!!

It's a great park with plenty of room for the dogs to play and tables for people to sit at. There's a water station. The fence is shorter than most dog parks so just make sure your dog is not a jumper. There are no lights at all though, so I wouldn't suggest going at night. The only lights are across the way at the school but that doesn't light up the dog park at all.
