“Wow! This was one of the best Covid surprises I’ve experienced this year! Machete Taqueria is absolutely, hands down, One of the best Mexican food places I’ve eaten in Southern California. I ordered the potato tacos (because I am vegetarian) and I was so, so pleasantly surprised at the amazing taste these tacos had. The corn tortillas were an amazing mixture of thick and tasty, potatoes cooked so well, and the toppings were unreal. I also ordered the Haurache, and I was hooked on this place forever. I can’t wait to go back to this place, and order more specialties from the menu. I highly recommend this small eatery, Machete. This restaurant was incredible!”

“So I have to share this story because it was just such a rare experience to have at a restaurant. We've been going to the East of Chicago in Ossian for awhile now. Nothing new, same good pizza. Same good people. The other day my family went in to sit down and have a meal. The owner has always been extra friendly with us and my young daughter. But today the owner saw that my daughter wasn't eating. No specific reason, the terrible twos are sitting in hard and she's just extra picky. Well the owner saw this, and went out of her way to make a plate of spaghetti for my daughter. She thought that maybe my daughter didn't like what we had ordered and wanted to get her something else. We don't know the owner that well which made this experience so much better. It's not like we've been friends for years and she's just helping out again. She is just legitimately a good person and goes out of her way to be friendly with people. We always said we liked East of Chicago in Ossian but this nails the point home.”
