  Great Location right on beach. Very nice large rooms. Breakfast much better then expected. Walking distance to all the downtown stuff. Dropped a star: Beach umbrella and chairs are supposed to be included, but took us 20-30 minutes to get. They had two technical issues with our registration, one of the rooms should have had two beds, the had incorrect check out date, ie cards deactivated, not a huge deal. We would stay here again.   We have never stayed in a nicer hotel. From the lobby staff to the gentleman that brought breakfast everyone was incredibly friendly and polite. The lobby, breakfast room and some of the hotel were under renovation. We were never disturbed by noise, and a lovely breakfast was brought to our room in place of going to the lobby. Our view of the ocean was amazing, the room and bathrooms were clean and bright. We do not have one negative about our stay at Beach Terrace and when we return to Carlsbad we will stay there again.

  Amazing beach front rooms... love falling asleep to the pounding surf! Great complimentary breakfast. Staff was so welcoming, helpful and accommodating! Highly recommend!

  Our favorite hotel keeps getting better. We have be going here for many years and the constant improvement make each trip a wonderful experience. All new wood decks and tile work at pool are amazing. Also new garden and rooftop plants look great. No other resort in the area has the in the surf on the water feel like this place. The breakfast is so good with the finest table window views. Rooms are the best we have ever enjoyed with the amazing view.

  Love this place because I can hear and see the ocean 24/7. It's like sitting on the beach from the comfort of an arm chair. I'm sun sensitive so I'm shaded in my room, but feel like I'm sitting on the beach. Nice, efficient people. Carlsbad is unique and full of interesting restaurants/shops.
