Great Smiles Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics - Carlsbad

When we first walked into the office, our child cried and cried but the entire staff including the dentist, Dr. Bre, all came over and calmed him down and immediately cheered him up. Dr Bre provided excellent dental care to our child, she answered all of his questions in a way he can easily understand. The staff was very friendly and is easy to work with. We feel very fortunate to have her as our child’s dentist. Highly recommended.

This office and its staff are great. We had our first appointment for our daughter yesterday and the entire staff was welcoming and adjusted quickly to my daughter's reactions. Initially she became scared and hid when they did the temperature check, but Dr. K came out and spoke with me and my daughter and gave her the space she needed to feel safe and comfortable. Dr. K was patient and thorough in her exam and quick when she could be with the measurement readings. Dr. K spent time explaining the specifics of what she was seeing without using medical jargon. My daughter always felt safe in the exam chair and was empowered by the staff and Dr. K to set boundaries and be a part of the process.

The exam room has a screen in the ceiling playing Nick Jr, KPBS, or Disney - I couldn't identify what show it was on the screen, though my daughter knew what it was and was able to have some positive distraction.

My two sons have been going to Great Smiles Dentistry with Dr. Crystal for years (13 now!). We have always loved the practice and the staff, and each and every visit has always been perfect. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and have always made my kids feel at ease during every visit. I always know they are in good hands. My oldest son has braces through the orthodontics department. Our experience with Dr. Hydo and Dr. Miller has also been wonderful and having a dentist and orthodontist under the same practice has been so ideal. They have been able to consult with each other over my son's dental issues throughout the process of braces. I've recommended the practice to all my friends and fellow parents looking for a good dentist and orthodontist.

Dr. Crystal is absolutely the best dentist. Unfortunately my kids have had many cavities filled and she makes the process very easy for them. She is gentle and kind and works quickly. She communicates the entire time to assure them what she's doing. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a pediatric dentistry!

The Great Smiles Team did an excellent job with my almost 2 year old! This was her first visit to the dentist so I was a bit nervous. I had a few concerns regarding my daughters teeth but was quickly reassured and educated on what I was noticing. I appreciate both Dr. Crystal and her assistant Nicole's bedside manner. They were wonderful with my daughter! As a first time mom it was extremely important that the visit was fun for my daughter and I understood what to expect. They did a great job meeting those expectations. Thank you for sharing in one of her milestones and making it so much fun. The photo of her at the end just made my day! :)
