Becka Automotive

My dad has been coming to Becka Automotive for years, longer than I can remember. He also used to take my car for service here. I've continued to go here for my basic car maintenance and diagnostics. Becka has excellent customer service, they are communicative about any problems your car might have, and they work quickly. They are no-nonsense and will never suggest something your car doesn't need. They also are fairly priced and incredibly friendly. For anyone in San Diego and especially Chula Vista, this is the place you should be taking your car.

Robert asked for an additional day with the lorry, so they might run extra tests to make sure there wasn't something else causing the sensing unit to stop working. When I arrived at the store, Robert stated they had actually not discovered anything wrong that would certainly cause the sensor to stop working, so they replaced it with one from the supplier, instead than utilizing an aftermarket one as previously. Outstanding customer support and very honest. Priced fairly for services and suggested things to look out for with my vehicle in the future (without being pushy). They even called me a couple of weeks later just to reaffirm that everything was now smooth on my end. Highest recommendation.

I have been going to Becka Automotive for years now. Robert and his team are the only mechanics I fully trust in San Diego. They are honest, reliable, and really care about their customers and the health of the vehicles.

In my experience, the team always goes above and beyond. They are priced reasonably and the value is exceptional. Robert (owner) even calls after repairs to make sure I am satisfied and that any issues have been resolved. They always explain mechanical issues clearly, demonstrate why certain repairs are needed, and answer all the questions I throw at them - I always have questions!

On my last visit, the mechanic even cleaned out the entire engine bay because there were dead mice/ mouse droppings and evidence that it may become an bigger issue if left unattended. When I came to pick up my Suburban, he and Robert took time to explain to me the potential impact of mice under the hood and then they recommended ways to keep them away.

In addition to all that, the shop is totally personable and it feels like family. They are all sociable and warm. It makes you feel even more confident that you are getting family-owned top-notch service.

Unlike many other mechanics who try to squeeze out every penny they can from your vehicle and do repairs even before they are actually necessary, Becka Automotive seems to subscribe to a different philosophy: Be honest, give a hoot, and work hard to create a loyal customer base.

It worked for me. I drive down to Chula Vista from La Jolla area to have my vehicles serviced with Becka Automotive because I won't go anywhere else.
