(January 4, 2020, 12:15 pm)You can access Mt Miguel from the bridge. The trail is nice and pretty flat for the first 2-3 miles. Then you can do some rolling hills on the left trail or take the right trail and access a narrow flat trail and some fire road before heading up the hill.. Not crowded, so is best to take hiking/running buddy...

If you start at the steel canyon bridge and walk up to the Wildlife Refuge Trailhead there is a shaded bench and a great view of the surrounding hills and riparian area. After a few minutes heading west you can ALMOST NOT hear the sound of traffic.
