  Mexico Viejo is an awesome gem among the sea of many taco shops here in San Diego. It doesn't particularly stand out in any one item/ dish, but what it does do is provide a lot of value for your hard earned dollar.
  
  There is however, one stand out item that I firmly believe should be a measuring stick for all taco shops which is their salsa. If the salsa is terrible or rather bland, I feel it sets the tone for the rest of your meal. Here at Mexico Viejo they do not disappoint, especially their red roja salsa. It is nice and picante with quite a bit of heat. And I do love my heat.
  
  For the value meal that will fill you up go for the bean and cheese burrito and some rice inside the burrito. If you're looking for something. Crunchy with also added value. Give the five roll tacos a shot. They used to be five bucks but due to COVID and all of its fall out the prices have gone up. Just a tad.
  
  All in all, Mexico Viejo is a solid value with good taste. I'm sure you will find something to your liking and not break the bank

  For a burrito only with meat and avocado. I wish it would have come with rice and beans inside like other burritos. Pineapple sweet water tasted okay a little after taste. Other then that it was good

  The tacos were bomb and fresh and the rice was like home made and the beans was also very good....over all it was delicious not what I expected in a place like this I really enjoyed their food...wish we had these restaurants in the bay area
