The San Diego Archaeological Center is small so you can see everything in about 15 minutes or take about an hour to read everything on every display. I was the only person in the Center for most of the time I was there. I thought the Center was interesting and I learned a few things. On the other hand, I think most kids would be bored there – no whales or dinosaurs, just thousand-year-old pottery, donut stones, arrowheads, and 125-year-old bottles. The Center asks for a $5 donation.
Great place for kids with lots of hands on activities and we got our passes from the city of San Diego library. The kids get to learn a great deal about the people that settled in Southern California up to 12,000 years ago
Our family had a great time at the spring bbq fundraiser. It was so cool to try to use the atlatl. Something we k Kyle read about or saw in museum cases.
We had a really fun day exploring the area for San Pasqual Battle day. It's a lot smaller than I thought. An hour, maybe two will suffice. We really enjoyed all of it though and will be returning.
