It is what is is.... a difficult fitness hike with a great view at top.
A great workout. Rocky, steep, no shade. Bring plenty of water. Great view from the top.
Great workout! (with no shade). Trail begins with an uphill climb for approximately 1.5 miles, and depending on the trail(s) you choose, there may be a few hills throughout the hike. Bring plenty of water - trail is really hot on clear summer days but the vista views compensate.
This is a great little hike. Yeah, the buzz of the highway is kinda annoying, but the views are beautiful and the sage and wildflowers make it smell and look pretty the whole way up. It's about 1.75 miles directly up, with a vertical gain of about 1150 ft. So fairly steep, and there are as few places where the footing is a little tricky for older or really young hikers.
Great trail. Very easy to follow and is rated by AllTrails as moderate. The path has been rained on quite a bit so plenty of rocks and gravel on route. Great views throughout the hike. During weekends this trail gets a lot of foot traffic which is either good or bad depends on how you like it. Dogs can be taken here with leash required as mentioned on the gate signs. Very friendly lot of hikers/runners. Reminder to please keep our trails clean! Enjoy!
