*HIGHLY* recommend not only to geek out but Mike's humorous personality makes this night even better! Implements safety guidelines, I'm ready to go back and I just went this week. Didn't stay at their bed& breakfast, review is strictly stargazing tour.

The Observer's Inn offers a cozy, informative, and lovely stay. The living quarters are immaculate and decorated beautifully. The Sky Tour is amazing because Mike Leigh is so knowledgeable, funny, and kind. We can't wait to go back!

Second time I’ve been here. The first time was back in June 2018. I saw a “Stargazing” sign on the way down to a hike and was curious. I really didn’t know what to expect, maybe some constellation searching or something. But it was way more than that. Mike, the owner, is very prestigious astronomer with about 30 years of experience, working with companies like Meade and being consulted by many other organizations. He built a small house with a rolling roof and has very large and expensive telescopes that he uses to show what the night sky hides in the distance. The things you could see with this equipment is mind blowing. It was so good I decided I wanted to go again with my girlfriend and so we set out and we’re once again amazed by everything in store. Truly a great experience and the best thing is that every month the night sky changes so you are bound to see something new every time. Highly recommend !

A+ accommodations provided at the Observer's Inn by Mike and Carol. The Sky Tour hosted by Mike is not to be missed. His knowledge, interest and enthusiasm provided is unparalleled. For anyone from the casual observer of the skies to the most informed and knowledgeable NASA engineer, this is a tour that is a must-do! Unquestionably the best we have ever encountered. Our trip there was a birthday gift to me from my wife, and we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. Should you find yourself anywhere in the vicinity of Julian, the Sky Tour is something you need to place on your bucket list. We will absolutely be back!

We were passing through Julian on a stargazing trip and noticed the Observers Inn. We entered out of curiosity and were treated so wonderfully by Mike and Carol. They gave us a mini tour of the observatory and let us take pictures. They were extremely hospitable and really nice. I would definitely book a stay here in the future!
