Cool park, lots of grassy hills, large and open area for kids of all sizes. This park is a fun on, the surrounding trees provide ample shade. There are tables and a few gazebo areas. The playground is a lot of fun with tunnels and slides galore. Love a park that has slides and swings. There is a fallen tree/log for kids to climb and balance on. We stayed for a couple of hours and there were always other kids to play with. I'd say new kids rotated in about every 30-45 minutes which is something you don't see at every park (there was even a cool dad with a bucket of toys). My favorite part of this park is probably the entrance. It's so fun going over the bridge and there is like a moat type of set up that likely looks so cool during rainy season. Overall just a lovely park with fresh air and space to run and play. Loved it!
Loved this park. 1st time there, about 6 15pm wkday. Enough parking, clean and no riffraff. Took my 9yr old grandson from Spring Valley-bypassing closer parks that we've had to leave b4 due to open alcohol/drug use, and other problems. This park only lacked one thing: shaded or covered areas/it was still hot and no where to sit out of the sun.
I was visiting from FL, so the whole area was great, but the park really was awesome! My grandson had just turned 3 a few days before and we wanted a fun, quick lunch, so we grabbed some Carl's Jr and returned to the park. It was very well maintained, had shaded seating and although the restroom facilities we're only 2 Port-A-Potties, they were also well stocked and maintained! Visit this park if you can!
A lot of people just drive by this park and not realizing it's there. There is one entrance and 1 exit and it's helpful to be traveling North on Bancroft when accessing this park. It's out of the way and very peaceful and a really pleasant place to spend an afternoon.
