  This is where i go when i need to get away from stress. It is so peaceful. I get my spiritual healing here. Quiet, peaceful, surrounded by holy people and in my holy ground.

  Excellent place for retreat. Praying with the monks is refreshing to soul and body. I encountered the peace of Christ in many ways here. Recommended.

  I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed here. The weather was perfect, even if a bit chilly during the Thanksgiving holiday. The monks received me with such joy and grace! I will never forget it. The food was a little scanty
  ????, I am a big eater, but quite good nevertheless. But don't let me deceive you, it was not all flowers and rainbows. The chapel, with breathtaking views over the Pacific, is not always silent during Mass. I noticed, and my sensitive ears were quick to detect, loud child noises throughout the prayer. I am quite shocked, as were some of the good monks, to see how many unruly children were present!! This is a MONASTERY people!!! The monks and guests probably want a QUIET time of prayer without being bothered by your unruly and naughty children.
  Apart from that very disquieting affair, my time was very affable. Thank you.

  10 of my Quilting friends went for a Retreat for 3 1/2 days at the Abbey. We used the large conference room and it was very comfortable for all. The only complaint we had is we felt rushed at the meals since part of our retreat is to sit after a meal and discuss whatever. The hospitality of all the staff, monks, Brothers and Fathers was outstanding. They all seemed very interested in our sewing projects.
