  This spot is such a gem. For those of you that live in the area and can train with such a talented artist who is so down to earth. Kevin has taught me so much in the little time I've spent learning from him. If you want to learn jiu jitsu, this is the place. Oss.

  Just having a great time training there. Between the excellent training environment and the facility- can't see myself training anywhere else.

  I just started at 10th planet Poway and have previously studied gracie BJJ with both gi and no gi classes. I was missing the cardio and technical aspects of BJJ and have found that and more at 10th Planet in Poway! Kevin has set up a world class gym and is one of the best BJJ instructors in the area. His credentials are impressive and, in only the first few classes, he has begun to tailor techniques to my body type and style that I am beginning to incorporate. Talk about a huge learning curve that feels like a private lesson! Kevin has assembled a great group of guys and gals to train and learn from at all levels. The environment is all about growing and learning in your BJJ knowledge. I still haven't found a better way to burn tons of calories in an hour!
  Couple of other highlights
  Kevin is religious about cleanliness and safety in the gym. I also dig the simplicity of the schedule.....6-8 am or pm every day.

  Liz Carmouche is an INCREDIBLE MMA and Muay Thai instructor! The only thing bigger than her muscles, is her level of kindness and desire to take your striking technique to the next level! No matter what your level of fitness, Liz will meet you were you are at and help strengthen your cardiovascular system with her unique and vigorous workouts. Liz is everything you want in a teacher, which is why learning from this UFC legend is truly a privilege and exceptional honor!
  
  Kevin Berbrich is a phenomenal jiu-jitsu instructor! He is always willing to help you and teaches jiu-jitsu fundamentals, and advanced techniques, in a way that is engaging and easy to follow. I always have a positive experience when learning from Kevin, which is why he is one of the most awesome jiu-jitsu coaches I have ever had. His classes are like the free food samples handed out at Costco... You never want to miss out on one!

  I took 10th planet poway's mma class. I was looking to learn solid technique as well as work up a sweat and I got exactly that. I was the odd man out so Liz, the instructor, jumped in the class and worked with me! Even the head black belt, Kevin, was taking the class. The warm ups alone had me sweating and the drills were high paced and well instructed. The facility was clean and everyone on the staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable. I love this place and can't wait to try out the jj class!
