(October 11, 2018, 5:01 pm)I love this place it was a nice Beach clean and access to bathrooms we're clean and well capped the shower rooms we're mostly all open air no ceiling there is washer and dryer used to most of the machines take credit card or electronic payment by your phone I think it's iPhone an Android laundry service Campground was great there's water and electricity where we were at there is available spots for RVs but we were in a truck tent camping site right on the beach now the part of the beach that we were on was saying and at the water's edge big rocks but there's another part of the beach where is all sand eating right into the water but there's no camping there there is a train that runs on the back side and I think it's a mile or so there is the freeway now what military Campground so you need a military ID to get in but on either end of the campgrounds are civilian use State Park State Beach I went with friends that were military and that's how I got on

(August 8, 2018, 6:05 pm)Camped one weeknight and our first time there. It's not bad for weeknight; I don't know about weekend. Train came by once in a while, but stop after 1030 or 11PM, and started again at 555AM by my smartphone. Of course the noises from the freeway are constantly there and it's sounded like waterfall. Over all we still have good time there.

(June 2, 2017, 4:13 pm)Visit when I was a kid at the age of 12 1988. Baseball teammate's who surf camped out in tents or slept on the ground in sleeping bags. Vehicle was close by and I think that's a good thing. Yes trains and the freeway sounds where loud at times. It depends on the time of the day. At night I felt like it was comfort like a water fall or city like noise. The train was loud at times during the day but at night the trains had more respect for campers and the morning it's your wake up call. Also during the day you don't really notice because you are having fun in the water or on some cool trails. My teammates and I went during the beginning of the spring season. So not many people there at the time. I don't know how it is now but by driving by couple of times on two different occasions, I saw it to be the same experience with great views. Only one thing I saw, that a lot more people know about. So just book a head of time for a spot and enjoy...Great experience for family's and surfers of all ages who enjoy outdoor activities...
