Seating throughout the park makes it an excellent place to visit and relax with friends and loved ones. There are so many different types of roses, some with unique coloration and all with their own names & scent. Beautiful location to take photos when roses are in bloom. I make it a habit to visit everytime I go to Balboa Park.
Really cool flowers. Just don't go in the winter. Instead of roses, you'll see some sticks in the ground. It's far less fun. However, nice architecture.
Beautiful rose garden. The flowers smell so nice and have gorgeous colors. Just don't come here January or February since there are no blooms then. I love this place so much! Very relaxing.
Beautiful place! Great for Pokemon go players since the stops are all close by... there's toilets on sight and I think you can go there as late as you want too... but its really pretty during the day when all the flowers have bloomed...lots or groups taking wedding pictures and photoshoots of some sort...
A beautiful spot to visit the next time you're in Balboa Park. An amazing array of various varieties of roses. Magnificently maintained by a corps of volunteers, and the love and passion they have for their work is certainly on display. Take a quiet stroll through the beds, stop and smell the flowers, and enjoy a few moments of total tranquility!
The garden is in bloom from March through December, with the roses usually at their peak in April and May. New varieties are introduced each year in order to display some of the latest plants available in the commercial market.
