  For me, workout is like meditation and I don't necessarily seek to socialize during that hour. Having said that, when I decided to try out Cross Fit, it was also imperative that the coach is able to pay attention to my form and help me navigate through various routines. So the criteria was somewhat paradoxical. Not to forget, distance from either work or home was important too- since I workout in the middle of the day.
  With that criteria in mind, I went to a bunch of try-out classes at various CrossFit gyms/boxes with no success. CrossFit Sun was the last in my list - I went to a 5pm class when Mark (the owner) was coaching. He was extremely patient, discussed if I had any goals that I wanted to achieve and walked me through the workouts all the while emphasizing that lack of prior CrossFit experience is not a barrier to fitness. I absolutely enjoyed that class and enrolled the same day.
  Its been three months since then & Leslie (the noon coach) has been super patient/amazing with me. Although I am not the best version of myself yet, I have definitely learned a lot of exciting new weightlifting, gymnastics and mono-structural workouts. I have also realized my body is capable of so much more than I give it credit for and thanks to my coach and fellow gym-mates in noon class, I also sometimes surpass the invisible limits I set for myself !
  There is also an element of community service and sense of belonging in this gym that everyone truly appreciates. So that's a plus if something like that is important to you.
  All in all, CrossFit Sun is pretty high up in the list of amazing boxes in San Diego county. Highly Recommended !

  Best gym I've ever been to. If you like working out the crossfit wods are always fun and never the same. If you want to socialize the community at this gym is unlike any other, everyone is so friendly, caring, funny, loving, and most importantly....sarcastic. So many friendships to be made and so many friends to sweat and cry with.

  I have collapsed many times but i come back stronger. I love this crossfit gym and the coaches are so nice!! The atmosphere is amazing and Crossfit Sun is an all around amazing gym.

  Very interesting and challenging programming. Highly recommended to try. I travel for work and visit a lot of boxes along the way. This one is definitely very interesting. Watch out for Dj! He can yell like no other “Go, go, go!!!! “ Hahahah definitely sore next day :-) good job!

  The coaches are excellent and caring! They made sure I have the right forms and explain how to activate my muscles to correct my posture and prevent injury. The skills I learned from here also applies to my daily tasks, it makes me more conscious abut my posture. The other members are also so friendly, I look forward to coming here and seeing everyone everyday! Growing up, I was not really into any sort of exercise, I've never been able to do a regular push up. Now I can do more than 10 nonstop! My next goal is a strict pull up, which I'm getting close at!
