  Excellent quality music classes for multiple instruments (Guitar in our case) for kids and teenagers. Done in a respectful, safe and encouraging environment. Highly recommend Dennis and Andrew.

  All three of our children have taken lessons at this studio: two have taken guitar, and one has taken piano. Dennis Short and all the instructors at Short Music Studios have been organized, good communicators and beloved teachers to our kids.
  Our 15-yr-old son took piano with Megan Latham before she moved away. Our son has Down syndrome, and Dennis and Megan enthusiastically took him on as a student. He loved his lessons and Miss Megan is sorely missed!
  Our 8-yr-old daughter is in her first year of guitar lessons with Andrew Snyder, and our 12-yr-old son is entering his third year of guitar with Dennis, after having taken two years of violin before we moved from the East Coast. Both are progressing nicely and more importantly, enjoying their ability to make music and be creative.
  I would recommend Short Music Studios to anyone seeking a place for their child to cultivate a love of a music and a connection with a devoted teacher.

  My 2 kids have been with Dennis since they were 3 years of age starting at preschool. He is a talented teacher and very patient with little children. His profession for music art is a unique style. We have always enjoyed watching his variety music production shows.

  My children studied piano and guitar with Dennis. I loved that he adjusted his teaching strategy to best engage each child. My daughter is very by-the-book, and he gave her lots of theory and practical exercises to help her gain confidence. My son, on the other hand, just wanted to be a cool rock star. At his first lesson, Dennis taught him one chord and asked him to count a rhythm. Ten minutes later, my son strummed that one chord while counting and Dennis played the melody. My son couldn't believe how amazing he sounded "playing the whole song!" He was hooked from the start, and as he progressed, Dennis snuck in some theory, but always in a "cool way." Very patient teaching style, but he does want to see effort in practicing. Hosts several recitals over the course of a year. Highly recommend.

  My kids have been going to "Mr. Dennis" for 10 years. Anyone who can keep those 2 motivated and progressing for that long deserves a medal! Dennis has a great balance of teaching, learning and HAVING FUN at his studio.
