I first met Dr. Marshall approximately 6 weeks before I had surgery with a different doctor. I felt pressured by my company to use the doctor they were pushing me toward. I went out on my own to get a second opinion. I felt Dr. Marshall's Second opinion was very honest, he "said we could do more physical therapy but eventually I may need surgery anyway."

Dr. Marshall went on to say that if I wasn't comfortable with surgery I shouldn't do it. And that the surgery had approximately a 75% success rate. I had the surgery with the doctor the company wanted me to have it with. When things didn't go well I was nervous going back to Dr. Marshall, but Dr. Marshall was not at all upset that I did not choose him for surgery, I think he understood the indirect pressure I was under from company, case manager nurse, etc..

The doctor who did the surgery was absolutely no help after surgery. He just wanted to tell me to go away. He did not want to try to find the cause of my pain or problems, I think because that could not be good for the workers comp insurance company. That's just my opinion.
Dr. Marshall on the other hand is a real straight shooter. He took some x-rays of my cervical spine and explained that the cervical spine can get pulled out of alignment after shoulder surgery, or aggressive physical therapy, both of which I had. Long story short, Dr. Marshall stuck up for me when the powers that be just wanted me to go away. His assistant Vanessa has been fantastic dealing with out-of-state workers compensation issues that I think many doctors offices would not want to deal with.

There is no way I can thank Dr. Marshall and his office enough.

    Truly, Andrew H.
