Torrey Pines will forever be my family beach. It's an especially beautiful place with alot to offer. Not only hiking, but general beach merriment. Large bathroom/changing area, showers for your feet and beach toys outside for after. It is a great place for making trips even more memorable.
Nearby: our beloved Roberto's for some bomb authentic Mexican food :) and a short drive away: ocean side with its many shops and restaurants. ????☀️????????????
Such a beautiful hiking trail. Always well-maintained. The only issue I have is that sometimes there are hikers there listening to loud music on the trail (not with headphones, out loud). I had to ask one to turn down his music one time and he acted like it was the end of the world. I asked him to walk ahead of me because I did not want to hear his music. It should be a peaceful place to enjoy nature away from loud music. I wish they could post some sort of rule or sign that outlawed people listening to music out loud on the trail. It disturbs the peace.
This beach is so beautiful! Great for a family day or a peaceful hike. There are always plenty of birds to watch too if you're into that.
Long, lovely beach with great sand. It was relatively deserted the day we were there, which was a plus, but likely not the norm. Lot's of parking with a $10 fee. Nice easy waves for those on the beginning end of surfing, or want to boogie board it.
Lovely long stretch of beach that has fantastic views of the Torrey Pines hills. Always hard to find parking, and equally difficult to get out of unless you pay to park. Great for hiking beneath the cliffs. It can be a bit busy, but it’s worth the opportunity to get some hiking in at the state park, and then relaxing next to the waves.
