  Had an absolutely amazing stay here. The location is extremely close to the beach and has a lot of awesome places to grab a bite. The hostel itself is very clean and comfortable. Each bunk has adequate privacy and good storage. The staff is fantastic beyond words. There are a ton of awesome activities that are set up for you through the hostel, that really help to settle in. Will definitely be reccomending this place to others and hopefully coming back!

  Definitely the best hostel I've stayed in!!! You immediately feel like home, living room area is super comfy and right next to the kitchen area to set a good vibe. bathrooms are super clean and the hostel always smells nice. Beds have curtains and lights included which is a HUGE plus if you want to have some privacy. Its perfect location allows you to go to the beach, check out some restaurants, or take a bus to the city in absolutely no time. What I'm definitely gonna miss the most is the staff, though. Everyone is SO welcoming and you'll feel part of a little family. Thanks for all the bonfires and movie nights and free burritos, and especially the memories... I'm gonna miss this place so much!! If you're anywhere near San Diego don't hesitate to book your bed here.

  A super friendly hostel. The commons is a chill and welcoming place to hang out, and Rey Rey, a charismatic host, made meals to share and often invited us to the beach. Easy walk from the Pacific Beach beach, and next door to great places to eat. I had a wonderful time and made friends while I was here.

  I had a great stay with the crew at California dreams hostel. Staff were friendly (kudos to Kristin and Pedro) and created a nice vibe at hostel. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean. They made sure there were a few suggested activities each day and always there if you had any questions. Beds were comfy and privacy curtains in the dorms made it feel like you had your own small space. Great location, just seconds from the surf beach.
