Great park, a little tough for the younger novice crowd.. very well maintained features. Some other friendly parents were there too
So cool to have a shady spot to ride your board.
Great spot to stretch your legs and skate, there are different levels of skaters ranging from beginners to experienced skaters.
You could see the passion and respect the skaters have for their sport and each other.
Nice place to visit with family and friends.
Keep it cool, keep it rolling!
Very cool "hidden gem" in San Diego (in my opinion). Let it be known I'm not a skater and the Robb Field Park is fairly large especially considering it's location but the skate park looks pretty cool, to me. Usually on weekday afternoons and often even weekend days there are scores of young people (very young i.e. lower-middle school) involved in various soccer activities. There are also tennis courts, baseball diamonds and a "running/walking" path along the canal. Seems to have ample parking. I have been there during various day parts when it's very busy and when there are no more than 5 cars in the extensive lot. That being said, if you're not involved in said "soccer activities" I'd suggest looking elsewhere to enjoy the outdoors if it's a weekday between the hours of 3-7pm. That entire area is very hectic during that time. They do have multiple bathroom facilities as well. As always, make sure to do your homework, checking weather and real-time traffic conditions, highly advised.
