When I drove by, I noticed lots of white stones at the side. When taking a closer look, I began to realize they are all grave stone. There are huge amount of grave stones here but it looks organized, holy but scary. It’s pity that I have no time to stop by to take a look. Maybe there are many history behind it. That’s what I feel after seeing avengers.
A picturesque, peaceful place overlooking the ocean. A beautiful place for US military to be remembered for their service.
There's a large information center (with restrooms) that contains a number of fascinating historical weapons and armor, as well as a walk through historical display on the discovery and settlement of America.
Attended the Memorial Day Ceremonies with my kids today. The service was amazing. Very informative for those who dont know the history of this National Cemetery. If you have the chance please visit this site and take a moment to remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country's freedom and the freedom of those oppressed around the globe! Let them not reach the second death of being forgotten by the generations they died protecting.
I had the honor of being able to visit this hallowed ground and pay tribute to many of these brave warriors. I very much appreciate the ability to locate individual gravesites at the cemetery’s office as well. Very helpful! This historic site is worth visiting to better appreciate the significant sacrifices citizens have made for our country in the past and present.
This place is really nice, spectacular city and bay views. My dad who died on a Navy ship in 1965 is buried here and I visit when I’m in SD. He was in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam wars. Joined The navy in April 1941, before Pearl Harbor. This is a fitting place for a patriot who spent his life in the service of his country. God bless our country and all who have served and died in our service.
