Loved visiting here!! Was able to get some coins for the coin press and get my stamp for the national monument passport!! Location has snacks as well
Fantastic place to visit while in San Diego if you’re looking for a sightseeing destination. The park ranger staff are super helpful and great at explaining the history of this area and guiding you through the museum portion of the visitor’s center. I highly recommend visiting Cabrillo National Monument Visitor’s Center and the surrounding areas to anyone that is passing through the San Diego area or visiting.
Here provides great view to the downtown San Diego and also sea. You can see a light house here. You can walk into light house or walk along the bay trails. Many wild flowers blossom now so it’s a very good place for sightseeing and hike.
Amazing views of downtown San Diego. Nice little museum dedicated to Mr Cabrillo and his 3 ships and crew. The light house is neat, seeing the polished lens' was interesting. Look into getting an access pass before you go.
Beautiful location and very interesting historic site. Dated facilities but good story and movies every hour. It was cool when we were here and nice but I can imagine it gets very hot here in summer. I birded in morning and quickly saw South pacific coastal specialties. Kids had good fun earning jr ranger badges.
