I just want to say thank you to Elias and his team. You don't have to look any further than Pacwest Marine for marine repair. They did a fantastic job on the rebuild of my boat transmission, Timely, honest and fair are just some of the superlatives I would use with my experience with this shop.

Elias is very helpful and takes the time to help his customers with advice to get exactly what they need. Wish more businesses were like this. I'll definitely be back.

Yes in 2001 I was looking to replace my Borg Warner Transmission y for my Vessel the Illahee in San Diego, Elias was very professional and his expertise is second to none. He provided me with a solid rebuilt transmission, he gave me the calculations for the length of the shaft, as the dimensions changed with the replacement transmission and the new shaft had to be made at a different length.

Also, he came down on a Saturday with his crew to make sure the install went smoothly.

Fast forward to 2014-present day...I have another vessel that is gettgin an engine rebuilt currently, my mechanics said they believe the Transmission was worn and needed to be rebuilt. While walking down to my boat yesterday I saw a dinghy mechanic working on a small outboard engine, as I walked by I asked him if he knew of anyone who worked on transmissions...he replied- Pacwest Marine and I asked if Elias was still running the shop and he said yes. So today, I gave Elias a call and once again he provided me with detailed knowledge on my transmission, like the weight and the most likely model for my 454 and a ball-park figure for best & worst case scenarios. he said his turnaround time is about 1 week. I'm going back right away.

This is the kinda of work I love and want others to know when they work with Pacwest Marine, this guys are experts and at a fair value.
