  Def would come here again. Went on date night here and it didn't disappoint. It's easy to have good sushi for $$$$ but it's hard to find a reasonable priced spot with the same quality. S on the R does just that. Coming back!!

  Best take out sushi in the 4S area. Was devastated when they closed the restaurant for a while. Now they’re back for take out nearby!

  Amazing food!!! Excellent service. Our waiter Mathew made sure the service was A+.
  The outside view just adds to the ambiance.
  A must visit restaurant when you’re in La Jolla! Check out their great lunch specials too!!!! Will definitely go back and advise you to check it out!

  My husband and I love this place!!! We went to Sushi on the Rock about 5 years ago and ate there everyday for about a week. When we went to return on our trip to La Jolla, we were disappointed to see that it was no longer off of Prospect. Happily, we found that they just moved down the way and still had impeccable service and sushi!
  
  Gavin was absolutely amazing! He recommended all of the Specialty Sashimi dishes we tried, all of them being better than then next. The tuna and salmon were fresh and were accompanied with flavorful sauces and vegetable garnishes. I particularly loved the micro greens that were served on one of the dishes. Their presentation was beautiful and tasted even better than it looked. We also had the steamed pork potstickers, which were light and delicious.
  
  If you haven’t been here before, this is a must! The only disappointment is that they are only open in the evening, opening at 4:30 pm. We could eat here for lunch and dinner!

  Great spot to grab lunch/sushi while in La Jolla, with wonderful views from the deck. The staff is very accommodating, I will definitely be going back.
