(August 7, 2016, 3:34 pm)When the neighborhood was built in the early 50's, the school opened about 1951-1952. I attended Kindergarten in '54 in the stand alone classroom on the North side of the school. Us baby boomers overwhelmed the school, they had to bring in a bunch of temp. classroom buildings in '56-'57, and put them on our playground. I remember Mrs Smith 2nd grade, Mrs Keller 5th, and Mr Boucher (sp) 6th. Off to Horace Mann 1961.
