  I went into this dental office with the fear of going to the dentist after having a bad experience with another dentist here in San Diego. They are caring, patient and gentle. They really care about there patients. DR. Tran and Dr. Tabornal always take time to answer all questions and explain everything. Thank You for taking such great care of my kiddos and myself.

  From the exceptional service Janean started to a great dental assistant, Dr. Tabornal and Dr. Tran followed up wonderfully. They run a fantastic family practice. I was referred locally by a friend of mine and I am so pleased to say I now live 40 mins away and won’t change dentists until we leave San Diego! Extreem attention to detail, very warm, welcoming customer service and it’s a personable environment. I don’t fear the dentist, I look forward to it!

  Myself and my children were treated extremely kindly by the staff. Dr Tabornal and Dr Tran were both professional and sweet. As I’ve been to horrible dentists before that entailed allegedly professional dentists poking fun at other patient’s teeth, to have a supporting staff that appears to earnestly want to help is something I am sincerely in awe of. The dentists at Island in the Hill ensure that my welfare is above all the rest — when in surgery or out of surgery, or even after a check up, they call to make sure you’re okay. For those who are deathly afraid of dentists, this is coming from somebody who was on the same page as you not only a few months ago; now I enjoy my visits.

  Drs. Tabornals and staff take excellent care of your health and teeth. They are honest and trustworthy. They've been a part of the community for 20+ years and well-loved by all. I highly recommend!

  I've been going here since I was a kid and I'll be a patient here for years to come! Since I moved away from Southern CA a few years ago, I've had to get check ups at other dentist offices several times; those experiences only reminded me how important and rare a GREAT experience at the dentist is. They care for you and treat you like you're family - I highly recommend!
