  Nice hike but there is a part of the loop that is really steep. Be careful. It is near the by 805.

  It's also Alta Vista Botanical Garden which is awesome! My kids loved it even under the hot sun.

  I definitely don’t feel like I’m a block away from busy streets, office buildings, and the mall when I’m on the trail. It’s a great place to go for a walk, run, or bike ride - but keep an eye out for snakes! From the entry off Genesee, the trail is wide and flat. Farther to the west, it gets pretty rocky though.

  Usual trail for the weekend. Be careful as there is more vegetation since the rain, so more chances of meeting creatures you don't want to. Take lots of water. I'd say stick to the trail, but at times it's hard to find it, so do your best. Its an in and out trail so don't expect to complete a loop unless you want to end up 10 miles away from where you started. The roadwork also limits the connections to Marian bear.
