Decoy Dockside

I lived in San Diego for 13 years and never visited Lake San Marcos. We were back for the weekend, had dinner with friends at Decoy Dockside, and loved it. The decor was fun and modern, and the whole restaurant had a good vibe. The food was good, and the service wasn't bad. Everyone was friendly, just not super attentive. The light show was super fun, and an added bonus!

SO MUCH FUN!!! we were downstairs and the view was wonderful!!! At night they had a light show that was amazing!!! We wanted to get a gondola ride but we couldn't figure out how it worked.

This is one of those places that I think if I give a great review too many people will come here! Funny right?!
Ok it's amazing and especially at night when they have the water show. Projected images on water spraying over the lake.
The service is on point and the food is awesome too. The entire experience is top drawer. I'm going back again for sure.

My company held a team building event at this location last week. I am generally not really excited about structured relationship building events, but this out was a huge exception to that general feeling. I really enjoyed this outing and I attribute most of the warm feelings to the venue. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food was great. The patio and bar were very nice. It was a wonderful environment to spend time with teammates for the purpose of getting to know them better. I would definitely like to return to this location in the future.

4.5. Nice venue. Outside seating is great in good weather and a wonderful view of the lake. Modern theme and ambiance. The food is good quality with excellent presentation and unique fusions that work well. Alcohol selection is limited but they'll make what you ask for. Overall, I will return and recommend to others.
