I've been attending Rise Church for over 3 years now and can say the church family and leadership is a loving and close knit community, and very welcoming to new-comers (as I was one not too long ago!). The church has gone through a plowing and seeding phase with a new name and Pastor and kid's ministry in the last year. I've had the priviledge of getting more involved during that time and see huge potential for Rise Church to grow and make a big impact in our community in San Marcos. The teachings are all Bible based with an emphasis on the context in interpretation. The worship music is always top-notch, with an exciting rotation of musical guests each week, including some top artists that have been nominated for Grammy's, performed with Greg Laurie, as well as up and coming young artists with a bright future and a heart for Jesus. I am happy to call Rise Church my home church and look forward to growing in Christ through this church family.

I just started going to RISE church a few months ago. I am so thrilled that a church of this caliber has come to our area! The pastor has worked with Chuck Smith and Greg Laurie and pastored around 30 years in Calvary Chapels. He’s been to Israel 20 times and truly understands God’s heart for Israel and the Jewish people, as well as the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. Pastor Greg and his wife are the most gracious, kind, and sincerely compassionate people you could ever meet. The preaching is amazing! It’s a start-up, so still small in numbers, but endless in possibilities of what God could do through this church who loves Him and the Word of God with all of their hearts!
