Walker Preserve Trail

My family had a great walk along the trail from Magnolia to the ball fields. It has some good views of the water and little information boards about the things you may see along the trail. It's nice and flat so it's an easy walk or bike ride and you can push a stroller with no issue.

This is a great place to have a routine walk, run or ride. The official River Walk trail begins at Magnolia and extends East all the way to Channel road in Lakeside. Nice features along the way, like a secluded wooden semicircle deck with shade. Nice views of the river and riparian habitat along the path, which is hard packed smooth dirt, suitable even for small stroller wheels.

I live very close to that Preserve. I love taking my Jack Terrier down there. She always has the best time, it helps her to become more sociable

The Walker Preserve Trail is an easy trail that is a part of a longer trail that extends into the neighboring city of Lakeside, this trail offers beautiful sites if the San Diego river along the way. If you go during the late spring or summer time make sure to bring some bug spray, the bugs come out in full force. Overall this is a great trail for anyone who wants to have a relaxing time.
