  Thanks Pat! You are a great teacher. It was my first surfing lesson ever and I was only dreaming of standing on the board for more then few second. Not only that happened, but for longer then few seconds and multiple times. Pat is clear, fun and professional.
  definitely a truly surfing experience. The spot is perfect for beginners and more experienced surfers. I highly recommend it!

  Brought a couple of ice hockey players to San Diego for a tournament in Feb/2016, one had never even been to the ocean. Hooked up with Coach Pat from San Diego Surfing Academy who was very helpful and accommodating to our schedule constraints. He met us in a great spot, brought several sizes of wetsuits and boards to ensure a good fit and was glad to help us plan our surprise afternoon of surfing instruction for the two boys. His pre-ocean coaching on the beach and quickly moving them into the waves prepared them for a very successful afternoon. Both boys (age 12) caught their first wave within 30 minutes of us getting to the beach, rode it standing up all the way to the beach! Can't get more successful than that. Coach Pat was very patient and is a great instructor. The boys had so much fun they wanted to surf some more a second day by themselves. Coach Pat again worked with our schedule, met us in a great spot, brought them the same gear that worked for them before and hooked us up for another great afternoon out on our own. Both boys were able to surf on their own their second day out, awesome experience. Would highly recommend you call Coach Pat first, we lucked out on our trip by finding him. Thanks Coach Pat for an awesome surfing experience and fantastic video. The boys have you to thank for introducing them to a whole new sport and giving them an experience they will never forget.   Pat is an extraordinary surfing teacher and all-around person. He has a knack for conveying the fundamentals and "mindset" of surfing while inspiring his students. Pat taught me to surf over about 10 yrs ago and I recently had the pleasure of watching him get my 8 yr old boy on a board for the first time! I've witnessed his ability to teach all ages and abilities and highly recommend him to all levels and stages.

  A good friend of mine was visiting from England last week and he had always wanted to give surfing a try, so we decided to set up a lesson for him while he as in San Diego. I did a lot of research on San Diego surfing schools and San Diego Surfing Academy kept popping up with the best reviews, so I booked my friend a private lesson with the owner and head coach, Pat Weber. The good reviews are all well deserved! Coach Pat is the best coach out there- very professional, patient, extremely experienced, and personable. He set my friend at ease right away and the rest of us had a great time watching the lesson from the shore. Coach Pat always answered my emails quickly, the meeting spot was easy to find and Coach Pat showed up right on time. He also took his time with my friend's lesson and never made us feel he was rushing him through. Before going out into the water, Coach Pat made sure to go over the important basics of surfer etiquette and safety. My friend really appreciated Coach Pat's clear, straightforward instructions and he was up on the board and riding the waves in his first few attempts thanks to the expert guidance he received. We all had a great time- even for those of us who observed from the shore! If you're looking into giving surfing a try, Coach Pat and the San Diego Surfing Academy is the place to go to. Can't recommend them enough!
