  This facility has been under new ownership for almost 3 years. My dad has been a resident for 8 months. Since he has arrived, he now sleeps through the night, eats almost every meal served, and laughs a lot with the staff who calls him papa. He receives regular baths, a shave and nail trimmings. The large open area affords him views of the hills and birds outside. I appreciate that his room is always clean. The staff and management are quick to respond to any needs or questions. They are working through some remodeling right now, but are very sensitive to the residents' schedule and peace. This is a welcoming and warm environment. Many times I have seen workers just sit and hold the hand of various residents during a quiet evening. It truly is a family environment.

  Mountain View Manor strives to serve our residents in a safe and caring environment. Our mission is to treat our residents like family.
  
  Had we been made aware of your mother's concerns, we would have worked to correct any of her concerns that were within our control and abilities.
  
  As an assisted living facility, we must provide our residents with a structured schedule to include wake up, meal times, activities, medication dispensing and personal hygiene.
  
  Our "great room" area provides residents a large area to enjoy the scenic hillside views, socialize, participate in activities and auch. Residents are encouraged to participate in being part of the great room area. However, we do not deny a resident their right to privacy if they choose to stay or spend time in their room.
  
  We provide a variety of balanced, prepared on site meals and snacks daily. These meals are enjoyed by the residents. Special dietary needs are always adhered to. Our extra large kitchen allows us to ensure that all residents' needs are filled, including occasional requests for a cup of coffee or snacks throughout the day.
  
  Daily laundry for 12 residents can be a challenge especially when clothes are not clearly marked. We work hard to return all personal belongings to the rightful owner.
  
  I am very sorry if our care and services did not meet your mother's expectations. We enjoyed having her at our home for almost 2 years and did our best to bring happiness in her life everyday as any loving family member would. We welcome the opportunity to discuss with you, ways we can improve our services to our residents.
