(October 10, 2013, 6:24 am)Sanchez Elementary School is a wonderful little gem hidden in the SFUSD school system. Teachers are engaged and thoughtful. The principal is doing good work and helps not just to teach the basics, but to help kids understand life lessons and WHY you should do good things for other people.
The school is incredibly diverse and they do their best to celebrate said diversity at every turn. My daughter has learned a great deal of humility and is able to now, effectively, reflect on her own socio-economic status and relate to her classmates.
