I’ve driven by this place countless number of times and finally a friend suggested lunch here. Sure why not! Walked in and almost all the tables were taken so that told me the restaurant was a good choice! I ordered the Vietnamese ice coffee and the seafood soup with mixed noodles. My pal had sliced beef. Tasty and flavorful and not super thirsty afterwards! 😬🤭😉
The noodles is just ok for me. They are huge portion. I love their fish balls and their compliment soy milk (person each) so so good.
5.0 | most authentic vietnamese noodle house I’ve ever been to outside of the home. just GO. I got the no. 31 and it was delightful. we were all quite shook because we went in on a whim after visiting home sf to try their ube latte [not worth the hype to me]. everyone there was not American, always a great sign.
my friend said it was her favourite spot we went to in San Francisco. I would say this spot is in my top three if you go to SF, you should go. it’s a brilliant cute little hole in the wall and was the perfect warm meal on a brisk SUMMER day in SF.
This is the place you come to get some Vietnamese comfort food. I got #9 which is the braised duck leg with thick egg noodles & a warm cup of soy milk. The portion was generous and I still had some leftover for dinner!
I would bring my parents here whenever they come and visit, they enjoy it too.
I love this place. The #8 (Duck with Ho Fun) is my favorite. The meal isn't expensive AND it's simple, filling, and made with quality ingredients. This is my definition of comfort food. If I feel a little under the weather or crave some soup, I come here. The soup/broth is super light and easy on the stomach. If you have extra broth, you can make some veggie or noodle soup with it.
My only peeve is that I wish there were some vegetables with the noodles. Like bok choy or something. But I usually have something in my fridge so it's not that big of a deal for me.
Also, the staff here are so nice and the service is very quick. I often work late and sometimes I don't arrive until they're about to close but they never complain. They are always understanding and the food is prepared and packed quickly with care.
