“We got there just as they opened. There was a STRONG smell of urinal cake in the entire place. We almost left, but once the food started coming out the smell got better. The sushi was amazing though. It should say something they they held onto a 4 Star with the food alone. We will try somewhere else next time.”

“A great little restaurant that I had the pleasure of dining at. I managed to get a nice window seat. The food was really great and flavorful. The waiter was extremely nice and service was great. Would definitely return again as I got a nice home feel to the environment.”

“A true dive bar. I'm really glad I got to experience it during my visit to San Francisco. The drinks were amazing, the music as well. We all had a really great time. It's worth mentioning that the finger food was way better than I would have expected. I'll be back here next time I'm in SF”

“The banya is great. The saunas are really hot, the steam room is really steamy, and they have a nice restaurant with delicious Russian food and snacks. They also have a deck with a nice view of the city. This is my go to place for sauna. They give you a robe, 2 big towels and slippers - that’s very convenient. You don’t need to bring anything. Except a sauna hat! They rent them for $3 or sell for $18. You can get one at Amazon for $10. It’s helpful, because supposedly it protects your hair from the heat. The only downside is that it’s pricey. The entrance costs $47 and their restaurant prices are quite steep too.”

“I love breakfast here, but I only ever get the breakfast plate. Best crispy hashbrowns in the city hands down. Order the breakfast plate weekdays to get them (they do home fries on weekends). Eggs any style, choice of 1 sausage patty or 3 slices of crispy thick cut bacon, and choice of bread (get sourdough, duh!).”

“Nice place, very good macrons! I walked in near closing time and they were very nice about letting come in late and order...also they let me finish my pizza in there too, but nice place. The tiramisu is very good also, and reasonably priced”

“Le Colonial is one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco. I have been coming here since the mid-90s from out of town and I've never been disappointed. The food, service an ambience are always consistent with what you would expect for a really nice San Francisco restaurant. My favorite part is that you can select from a more fine dining experience on the second floor or head up to the third floor, eat off the same dinner menu but have a more casual experience. The decor is cool too.”

“After few years I came back to San Francisco and went to have a breakfast at Honey Honey. I was very pleased to come back as I was the first time I visited. It is delicious, this time I tried the Crab Benedict’s. The coffee is really good as well. Highly recommended and kudos to owners for maintaining the quality of the food.”

“Great bar with a cozy vibe that also offers happy hour. Cocktails are $9-12, wines are $8, and beers are $5-6 There are no cocktails listed on the menu, as this place specifically tailors a drink based on your base spirit and preferences. This style of cocktail service is great as you'll probably try something new that you love. Service is quick and friendly, and plenty of places to sit- bar or lounge style.”

“This place is great! A real solid burger. It's not gonna pretend to be anything fancy, artisanal, or whatever buzzwords are being thrown around with all these new restaurants popping up all the time who are funded by banks and investment firms trying to grab some loose tech money. This is a real legit neighborhood joint that gives you what you pay for. Enjoy the burger. It's not pretentious and you don't have to be either.”

“The guys here were chill and the pizzas we ordered; luau and veggie, were hands down really good. We also ordered buffalo wings first which was a good start.”

“Four of us enjoyed brunch at the counter. My chicken soup was so pretty that others took a picture of it. Delicious too. Plenty of large chunks of chicken and vegetables. The menu had a mix of healthy and indulgent food. We were all happy with our meals.”

“Great low key bar with a chill dark backroom. Good DJ and music. Various expert cocktails . Must check it out if you enjoy that sort of atmosphere. Lots of influence from the theater, opera, ballet.”

“Great food. Their croissants are amazing. Already tried their chocolate, buttered, and ham and cheese. All top notch. Don't recommend getting their bagels. Super small for what you pay and it's not like this is a bagel place anyways. They also sell loaves of fresh bread. Radio playing Russian music station very authentic overall. Great friendly staff. Use the point thing they have at counter on 2nd visit you are already getting as free croissant. Only major negative would be limited indoor seating but this is San Francisco.”

“I LOVE Simply Cafe! It's my new favorite spot in the neighborhood. The ambiance and the menu are both amazing. It's all pastel and everything in it is so cute — from the wall decor to the plants to the sugar cookies! It is bright inside and has a great array of menu options. All-day breakfast is a huge plus for a late riser like me, and all of the food is delicious. They have gluten-free bread, which is great and a rare find at most local cafes. Sometimes the music during the weekdays isn't calm enough for people working on their laptops, so that is one area of improvement. Visit this place!”

“Persian food... delicious. This place is absolutely outstanding. Next time I'll be back with my coworkers. It has a nice atmosphere. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.”

“Whenever I visit my sis in SF we come here. Morning or afternoon, their sandwiches are amazing. Love the bacon bagel, avohuevo, angry pork... I don’t think you could go wrong. Serving Peet’s coffee, I believe, and though Cinderella down the street has great pastries and such, the coffee here is way better. If you want a little sweetness in your life, do the vanilla latte.”

“Came here early on a weeknight, not too busy, a good casual amount of crowd. Got a table for 6 downstairs and were drinking and munching on shared plates for 3 hours, a great relaxed and nicely decorated place to do that. Enjoyed all the food, the service was great. The upstairs looked beautiful and nice for romantic dinner or date night (I like the lights). Came out to about $50 per person for all our munchies and drinks (two of us weren't drinking). There are some parking spots directly in front of the tavern, and street parking nearby.”

“Breakfast menu is pretty good but the dinner menu is fantastic. With split changing their menu this place has become my favorite fried chicken sandwich which means a lot to me. Mac is great. Grits and chorizo are pretty great too. Price can be steep but the happy hour prices are good. As they get more popular I hope they open later. Orders can take a while from time to time but the taste is worth it. Atmosphere is pretty casual and feels pretty open with good street views. Chairs could use some cushion but I've got enough rear cushion myself that it doesn't bother. Music is always good to great. Staff are down to earth and nice.”

“One of our favorite restaurants in the city (period, not just for sushi). Dave (owner) and his staff are the best and the food is great (everything from really traditional to fun fusion - all high quality and reasonably priced). Always a fun vibe. Definitely check it out!”

“Coffee is amazing. Food is delightful, my girlfriend was a little taken back by the texture of the eggs in the breakfast sandwich, but I still get it often”
