  So first off I want to say I've been using boxed dyes since I was maybe 16 yrs old and I am now a grown woman almost 40 and to say the least I was very nervous to even go into a salon after all the years of damage. After looking around online at local salons and reading reviews I decided to give Maria a call. She was very kind, she answered all of my questions over the phone and she was very inquisitive to what I wanted to do with my hair, she asked me to take photos of my hair and also photos of examples of what I wanted my hair to resemble. She then booked a test appointment for me and that went well. Maria is very sweet and makes you feel at ease, I didn't feel embarrassed at all or nervous around her. I mean, my hair was kind of bronze with orange tints so going into a salon made me feel nervous and that I'd feel judged, but that was not the case at all. She then recommended products that would strengthen my hair to help prep it for my balayage. I'm so glad she did, I really love all the products she recommended and my hair is getting a lot healthier than it's been in a long time. So the day of my appointment I wasn't expecting the amazing results that I got. It did take a few hours as the process does but they practically flew by as Maria and I made conversation. She was very easy to talk to and even shared some laughs. She paid very close attention to my hair during the entire process and kept asking me questions through out the process to ensure she was doing her best to achieve my idea style. When it was all done, it was even better than I hoped!I get somany compliments on my hair. I highly recommend Maria, she is such a gem, and has given me a good hair salon experience.

  Maria is a hardworking, personable, and talented hairstylist! She was able to give me exactly what I wanted considering I have lots of very thick wild hair. She is extremely easy to get along with and had no problem educating me about my hair as we went along. The prices may be a tad steep but it’s absolutely honest work for honest pay. Don’t book her up I want her to myself!!

  Maria is wonderful!!! I went to another salon who did nothing of what I asked. I saw Maria's salon online and called her. She was able to get me in that day. She did exactly what I asked and spent the time perfecting my hair and fixing what the other salon did. She is amazing and I am so happy that I found someone local. She truly takes the time to make sure she gives you what you want and explains the process step by step. Would recommend over and over.

  Few months ago I move to Manteca, I don’t know anyone here , so finding a new services was a challenging for me ( specially thinking about my hair and nails ).I have to admitted , I am very particular about it ( not picky ), but my hair is important !!! I checked lots of places, talk to lots of people and finally got opportunity to talk with Maria . We schedule appointment and she did great 😊 job with my hair , which isn’t easy , because I have thick short pixie cut , so you really have to be very good 👍🏿 and experience. She did exactly what I ask her to do and the cut was beautiful 😍 !!! Thank you Maria , I think you gain another customer/ friend for many years. I am so happy with Maria and would like to recommend her to anyone who is looking for great stylist. Thank you Maria

  I went to Hair & Nails by Maria after being extremely disappointed with a hairdresser who would cover up mistakes instead of fixing them. Maria is a very friendly person and has a very comfortable salon. She made me feel welcomed to be there. Maria told me everything she was doing before and during each step. Once Maria finished dying my hair she trimmed and styled it. Maria excels in customer service skills and listens to her customers achieving what the customer requested. My husband was with me and got his hair cut, he liked it. I would rate Maria and her salon a “10” and give an A+ overall. I definitely recommend Hair & Nails by Maria. Thank you Maria.
