(August 23, 2022, 11:32 pm)A favorite half way spot to take a break and stretch our legs when driving between the Bay Area and San Luis Obispo.
Super clean and well maintained. A gentle sloped turf area surrounded by Coastal Oaks - and about a dozen short hiking trails. They have picnic tables, play areas for kids, and nice bathrooms.
This is the first Monterey County Park opened in 1966. They say that it still has the same character and charm as when it first opened. I think they’re right. -

(June 7, 2021, 5:51 pm)A beautiful park with lots of picnic areas, volleyball, tennis courts, playground areas and hiking trails. They no longer have loud music on the weekends it's nice and quiet.
