  Nice area for a decent hike. We managed easy parking (January) and there weren't too many people on the trail. Some good views and there is a grassy knoll further down the trail to stop and have a snack at.

  We really enjoy hiking Purisima. Very peaceful, quiet, and rarely do we encounter more than a few other groups of hikers. A nice mix of covered and exposed trails, with great views westward of the Santa Cruz mountains. Currently our go-to place in the peninsula.

  Beautiful place for a moderately challenging hike. The trail is hilly with good inclines that will give you a good workout but the views and scenery make every step worth it! The trail is also mostly shaded which is a huge plus as the sun can get very hot! There was a nice creek at the bottom of the trail, there are several trails so get a map and plan out which is the best for the length of hike you want to do. We hiked 8miles and it went by so fast! We arrived around 9:30am on a Saturday morning and it was not busy, by the time we finished we noticed a lot of people were arriving and it was getting busier. I would love to hike this area again and try different trails!

  Scenic roads leading up there. Quiet trails, fresh air. Some modestly hilly parts perfect for a moderate hiking. We decided to head back midway because round ways are long and may take hours to a day to finish. One of the smaller parking lots was literally a narrow muddy open land fitting no more than 10 cars.
