(December 27, 2018, 1:48 pm)Montara is a lovely beach with great surf. There were plenty of people there but it wasn't too crowded. It allows dogs and although you're not supposed to let them off leash everyone was cool about it as long as the dog isn't aggressive and you clean up after them. We did find one syringe (it looked like insulin) but otherwise the beach was pretty clean.

(December 2, 2018, 7:12 pm)A very pretty beach that has a good amount of sand to relax in. Pretty easy to get to as far as beaches in norcal can be. There's a little bit of a steep hop down, but I'm sure there are stairs somewhere if you look. Also the water is never warm if you've never been to norcal so don't expect to swim too much.

(October 5, 2018, 12:29 pm)This is one of my most favorite beaches off the coast of the Bay Area! The sand is very pure, clean and super soft! The waves are a beautiful turquoise to deep blue and smells incredibly good. It’s a really wide and long stretch of beach off the coast of Montara adjacent to highway 1 and has a parking lot in the south and one in the north and also has stairs leading down to the beach from the southern entrance next to La Costanera which is very convenient. The beach is located eight miles north of Half Moon Bay and it’s operated by the California State Department of Parks and Recreation under the San Mateo Coast Sector Office. It is one of the cleanest beaches in the state and is known for surfing and fishing. The beach also has a lot of sand crabs from huge crashing waves on the shore that will tickle your feet! There are also seagulls roaming here in packs and they are thieves so make sure you always keep an eye out on your food, they will steal it from you if you look away for just a second! Well I hope everybody enjoys their time here, it’s definitely worth a visit. Especially if you live in the Bay Area, this place is not far at all. Please try your best to keep the beach clean and the ocean blue and pick up after yourselves!

(August 5, 2018, 10:03 am)Love it here. Quiet not at all crowded. Clean beach beautiful view out to the ocean. Peaceful serene location. Shhhhh it is a secret place I and my dog love to go.
