(November 13, 2018, 8:06 pm)This particular trailhead to access Mori ridge and Sweeney ridge is behind the Shelldance Orchid nursery, there is ample parking and a very nicely maintained handicapped size portable toilet. It's about 1.5 miles to the Nike radar site on Sweeney ridge from here, about two miles to the discovery site and three miles to the south end of Sweeney ridge trail.

(April 5, 2017, 5:43 pm)Great trail, pretty well maintained considering the recent rains. Lots of wildflowers in spring! Be prepared for a mile of uphill in the sun. It gets hot. But after that, it's all ridge-walking. If you want a more gentle walk there is a seaside loop on the other side of 101 with easy access.
