(February 5, 2019, 12:20 pm)Bair Island is a vital and beautiful gem, a preserved space from an earlier era, and one of the last remaining natural marshlands in the bay. It is home for innumerable birds, feasting on the creatures of the muck and mud and tall grasses. Go there and watch them.

Volunteer there & help w/ restoration. Whatever you do, support this crucial national wildlife refuge! It belongs to all of us!

(October 23, 2018, 12:43 pm)A nice flat trail that is about 1.5 miles in length one way. Nice scenery, but close to freeway so a bit noisy. Peaceful setting and easy access from freeway to escape the busy city.
