“I love my community of Sticky Friends! The teaching philosophy and dedication of parents at Bunker Hill inspires me daily as a parent. The opportunities the students have for exploration through open ended play starts in the classroom and extends in to the yard, across the meadow and stream, down hiking trails, under rocks, in trees, on stage,and sliding down hills. Co-oping in the classroom once a week is such an honor. The first five years of my kids life is so short I feel so lucky to be able to learn together as they navigate early social interactions with their peers. My oldest will be heading to Kindergarten in the fall and will miss all the BH mud and glitter... although I am sure his two little brothers will share some with him after school. Don’t forget your rain boots!”

“Our 2 year old child has been attending TippiToes Daycare in San Mateo Village for more than a year and we couldn't be happier!!! The most important thing to us in a caregiver for our children is that they are well-loved and the primary owner and caregiver, Lyudmila, fulfills this requirement perfectly! Every day when he arrives, he gets a big hug and kiss and she is always happy to see him! She and her husband jointly run the daycare and along with their assistant are on site daily. It is wonderful to have a husband and wife team caring for my son and he comes home telling stories about Joel playing "see-saw" with him and Lyudmila reading his favorite books. They make it a priority to spend as much time as possible outside in their shaded backyard when the weather is good and I haven't met a kid yet that doesn't love to play outside! Lyudmila does a wonderful job of curriculum development; utilizing play-based and academic work in the perfect combination for young children. They read a lot of books, do art projects, learn letters, work on counting and colors and other academic instruction. My current plan is to keep my son there for preschool as well since I know he will be well-prepared for Kindergarten by attending TippiToes Daycare. TippiToes Daycare provides nutritious, homemade meals for the kids including breakfast, lunch and snacks and is able to easily accommodate my child's food intolerances to dairy and gluten. I appreciate that they have been receptive to his dietary restrictions and are able to manage it. Overall, TippiToes Daycare provides wonderful care to my son and we have formed a great partnership to meet my end goal of nurturing and developing our child into a good world citizen. I am very confident in Lyudmila and Joel's commitment to that end. I would recommend their daycare with the most high regard.”

“This preschool is new, clean and awesome! We love it! My husband and I are new to the area but we do have several children and a lot of experience with preschools. Before finding this day care, we visited many options, both larger schools and home care facilities and were quite unimpressed (and sometimes down right shocked) with what was being offered. We saw one home that looked like an episode of "Hoarders" and another whose backyard where the children play strewn with dog waste. The larger schools felt rather impersonal and uncaring. This school is a perfect mix of learning and love. The classes are small, the teachers and children relaxed and the environment was safe. I believe that this might be San Mateo's best kept secret in terms of preschools.”
