“Enjoyed it very much...you used to hear people call a church a "black church" or a "white church" ...well this church has a lot of African-Americans ( & a few Africans in America) & is led by a black pastor, but there is a good mix of all skin colors, & it doesn't feel like a "black church" (not saying it would be bad if it did. Just saying) ...the pastor himself, Hurman, apparently is a very educated fellow with some east coast ivy league associations, but is down-to-earth in a good way, & I didn't get any bad vibrations about being white at a mixed-race church...only maybe, ironically, a few 2nd glances from some of the white ushers...maybe wondering if I was an angry white male that they would have to deal with...; No I'm not angry nor a supremacist...just a fellow Christian who LOVES ALL, & with a bit of education myself...God bless you . Thanks for the hospitality & a good sermon.”

“Roy Cloud Elementary is a K-8 public school in Redwood City, located in Emerald Hills. The school has about 100 children in each of the 9 grade levels, across 3-4 classrooms. The campus is 1950's architecture, blacktop playgrounds with swings and climbing structures. The teaching staff tend to be experienced but varies from grade to grade and year to year. In general it has a lot of parent participation, and the student achievement scores are high, especially in middle school math programs. ”
