“My daughter has been going to Merryhill since the summer before JrK and we are very happy with the school. All the teachers we have had so far are excellent, and even the office staff are great. My daughter has a very energetic outgoing personality and this school with its culture of all-round development is a perfect fit for her. She loves going to school everyday ! Their focus on academics is pretty competitive, but at the same time they also have great extra-curricular opportunities for kids to pursue other interests like sports, music, theater, robotics, etc. The principal also organizes regular parenting workshops which are helpful. The communication from class teachers is organized, frequent and efficient. I am amazed at the progress my daughter made in reading and language arts in just one year. Though these are not her strong areas, the class teacher recognized the need to work with her a bit more, and did it. The school building and the grounds around it are pretty good, but as other reviewers pointed out, parking can be a challenge. We have made peace with that fact now and just plan ahead of time (especially during school events). I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a positive, nurturing and holistic experience.”

“Our family has loved Gulu Gulu from day one. My daughter was one of Karen's first students as a preschool student (we had no prior relationship with Karen before this). Now she is in elementary school and still loves Karen and Gulu Gulu. Karen and her staff really prioritize a loving environment. In addition, she taught my daughter all her ABCs, numbers, how to write her name, as well as addition and subtraction. Now with my daughter in elementary school, Karen's afterschool program introduced my daughter to a love of origami and various other crafts as well as introduced her to the Mandarin language. You can tell that Karen really loves kids and is not in it just for the business side which I feel some places are these days. We consider Karen one of our family friends. ”

“Highly recommend Safari Kids @ Milpitas! My daughter started at Safari Kids when she was a little over 2 years. She had just slowly started speaking at that time. She initially resisted going, but within no time she was always excited to go back to school. She spent 1.5 years at Safari Kids (now she is in a different Preschool). Within few months, she could read alphabets. She could say numbers. There was a lot of focus on learning, at the same time there was emphasis on music, fun activities, drawing/painting, fitness (Yoga, Gym lessons etc.). Twice a year, there was dance performance in Milpitas library, which was a delight for us to watch (and so for every parent I am sure). I'd like to give a shout out to her wonderful teachers, Ms. Mili and Ms. Jahnavi who are amazing and exceptional teachers. My daughter formed a connection with them and still misses them dearly. 5 stars from my side!”

“Today marks a big day for us, our lil man is moving out of the school. As a family we have been part of this school since June 2010 when my daughter started the school at 4 months. Since then time have moved fast for us. I have seen all the ups and down with the school. I am very grateful to the entire staff over there specially the teachers who have played a very important role in shaping the early years of both my kids. I do not have enough good words to praise the teaching staff at Calaveras. Personally I think they have shaped and made a huge huge difference in my kids lives. This school will be very near and dear to me even when I am moving out of this school with very fond memories.”

“Swimming pool is well maintained . Lots of parking space. It's located within the school district campus. Police also keeps patrolling the area, which adds to safety. I think it is run for the city, which makes the cost very very economical. Their fitness center is also decent. They run some summer camp classes too at nominal fee. Also the Milpitas city residents get some concessions in the fees. Their 4th of July pool party is a big hit in the city and the fireworks happen right behind this location.”

“My daughter is a junior at Milpitas High School. She took a very heavy AP course load this year and also had ACT, SAT and 3 SAT subject tests. As the work began to pile up, we found that she needed some extra support. I signed up for tutoring at Montfort Learning in Milpitas for SAT prep, ACT prep, AP Chemistry and AP Calculus test prep. The tutors at Montfort Learning are amazing! They adjust their teaching techniques to fit the student's learning style. They know the subject matter extremely well and are able to translate this learning to the best way for a student to learn. They were able to find the places where my child needed to strengthen and help her. I'm happy to say that my daughter brought her calculus grade up by 2 letter grades from the fall semester, brought her SAT score up by close to 200 points and her ACT score up by 7 points. I would give a strong recommendation to Montfort Team.”
