(December 11, 2019, 8:36 pm)Nice place to go for a hike. Plenty of wildlife to check out. I ran into some wild pigs on my way out. Luckily they went the other way! There's a lot to explore around the area.

(November 24, 2019, 11:00 pm)Nice open fire roads for hiking and lots of different options for routes. The Buena Vista loop has a view of Grant Lake as well as Lick Observatory when you climb the hills. Low traffic trails. Make sure to bring plenty of water and sunblock. There’s not a lot of shade on most trails. I’d recommend longer hikes in the fall or early spring.

(October 10, 2019, 12:31 am)Joseph D. Grant County Park is a great place to go hiking. There are many trails and tons of wildlife. During my last hike I saw turkeys, birds, boars/wild pigs, and even two bobcats. You can choose to stay on flat trails such as those around Grant Lake, or head up into the hills to experience the amazing views from a higher elevation such as Antler Point Overlook. Since the park is in a rural area and far enough from the urban Bay Area the number of visitors was relatively low and I felt that I had the entire park to myself. Overall, a great place to hike and experience the outdoors and escape the urban environment.
