From the moment my daughter met these teachers when she was just 5 years old, she knew this was the school she wanted to go to. She is now 8 years old, in the 3rd grade and will still tell you this is the only school she wants to go to!
It is an extremely nurturing environment where every day moments become teaching moments; I love how these teachers find a way to find connections in all that the children do to not only strengthen their understanding but give them the lifelong skillset of making relational connections on their own.
This school isn’t about forcing children to conform to a set of standards or a strict plan but is about bending the education to fit how children learn best. In the early years it really is about providing a safe trusting environment where children are comfortable trying new things and secure enough to know it is ok to have to try several times before they really master it.
A warm nurturing atmosphere, integrated studies including theater performances, music, yoga, art and the philosophy that each student is a scientist in their own right with questions to be asked and explored.
As the children transition from lower elementary to upper you will see how the foundation the teachers have built for the students really supports them as they evolve into a more academic (still very hands on/explorative) phase of learning.
